Concept of source conversion

● • The voltage source Vx while connected in series with

• If there is no resistance in series with the voltage source,

• In the original ckt (top), there is a current source I x with
a resistance Rx in parallel. If we convert the current
Ix RL source to a voltage source as shown in the figure

below, the voltage source Vx will be IxRx and the same

B resistance Rx will come in series with the voltage
source.

● • If there is no parallel resistance with the current source
Rx in the original circuit then source conversion is not
possible.
