At the end of the lesson, the learners will be able

1. Discuss and contextualize the ratification of


Batas Rizal.

2. Appreciate the importance of studying Rizal’s


life and works through oral recitation.

3. Write a short essay about the impact of Rizal’s


novels to the lives of the youth.
WHAT IS
RIZAL
BILL?
THE RIZAL BILL- The
mandatory Rizal subject in
the Philippines was the
upshot of this bill which
later became a law in 1956 .

The main proponent of the Rizal Bill.
Dubbed as a communist and an anti-Catholic.

making Rizal’s writings
accessible to the general
public.
The Rizal Law aims to:
1. Rededicate the lives of the youth to the
ideals of freedom and nationalism, for which
our heroes lived and died.

2. Pay tribute to our national hero for devoting


his life and works in shaping the Filipino
character.

3. Gain an aspiring source of patriotism through


the study of Rizal’s life, works, and writings.

Directed the secretary of education to fully implement
RA 1425 in 1994.
