PSYCHOANALYTIC THEORY

It is the unconscious mind shape the


behavior of a person. The formation of the self
occurs between the Id and superego. The influence
of society happens in superego.

Encompasses the idea that all people have


unconscious thoughts, memories, emotions, and
desire and that therapy should be used to access
the mind’s repressed feelings and experiences.
ID- Unconscious source of primitive sextual, dependency, and aggressive
impulses.

SUPEREGO- Subconsciously interjects societal mores and setting standard


to live by.

EGO- Represents a sense of self and mediates between realities of the


moment.
TYPES OF ANXIETY:

1. NEUROTIC ANXIETY

2. MORAL ANXIETY

3. REALISTIC ANXIETY
