HOW TO RESET OR
RESTORE FACTORY
DEFAULT OF A PC?
WHY?
- We can reset our PC in cases like
fixing the glitches without removing
the files, giving the PC away, or
starting a new life erasing the old data
inside the PC
STEP 1

Click the windows at

the bottom-left corner
then click settings to
open it
STEP 2

Click Update and Security then

proceed to Recovery

Click Get started, select Keep

my files, then wait for a few
seconds

Choose whether Cloud

download or Local reinstall

Cloud download – will need an internet
connection and will download a copy from
the internet

Local reinstall – does not need an internet

connection and uses the hard drive to
download files

You can also decide to
restore pre-installed
apps and to download
Windows

After fixing the
settings, click
reset. You can
also check the
apps that will be
removed

Now wait for

the PC to be
reset
 REMOVE
EVERYTHING

Click Get started, select

Remove Everything, then wait
for a few seconds

Choose whether to clean data,
which makes it harder to recover
files especially when you are
giving away the PC

After fixing the
settings, click reset
to start the process

Your PC will automatically be
restarted and will begin the process
of reset. Wait for it to finish and
then you can set up your PC
