Balancing the T-Accounts
After the transactions are recorded and posted to the T-
accounts, you will calculate each account’s balance

Trial Balance
Once transactions have been recorded in
the journal and posted to accounts in the
ledger, a trial balance is prepared at the
end of an accounting period.
Trial balance is a list of all the accounts of
a business and their balances
Its purpose is to verify that total debits
equal total credits.
