Down Syndrome

• Down syndrome is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of all or part
of a third copy of chromosome 21.

• The parents of the affected individuals are usually genetically normal.

• There is no cure for down syndrome. However, education and proper care
have shown to provide a good quality of life.
