SHIP
Ecopreneurship is a management philosophy where the business efforts of
entrepreneurs are not only driven by profit but also by a concern for the environment.
Ecopreneurship is also known as environmental entrepreneurship and eco-capitalism

It is a term used to represent the process of the principle of entrepreneurship being


applied to create businesses that solve environmental problems and operate sustainably.
It emphasizes on sustainable development of business activities of entrepreneurs by
maintaining environmental balance.

The concept of Eco-entrepreneurship is based on the three pillars consisting of innovation,
caring for the environment, and long-term sustainability of business. Some of the
importance of eco-entrepreneurship are:

1. It encourages for maintaining fair trade practices for maintaining image and brand name.
2. Local consumption can be achieved by establishing sustainability policies in specific
settings
3. It encourages entrepreneurs to be involved in organic products
4. It emphasizes to maintain ecological balance in the environment
5. It supports for the sustainable development of business by focusing on economic, social,
and environmental issues
