 A.M. Butlerov Chemistry Institute of KFU is an
internationally recognized research and education center
in chemistry and chemical engineering in Russia
Teaching of chemistry began with the very formation of Kazan University in
1804. During this time, from the Department of Chemistry, we have turned into
a large Chemistry Institute with our own pilot production plant of
pharmaceuticals, a factory of catalysts and chemical engineering center.
We are proud of our excellent history, outstanding achievements and successful
graduates working all over the world.

Kazan Chemistry School

Kazan Chemistry School had started its formation and
development in 1835-1837 from opening of the Laboratory
of Chemistry in Kazan University.
Our discoveries that turned the world of chemistry
 the birthplace of organic chemistry in Russia

 the birthplace of organophosphorus chemistry
