 To check that the current design is robust, pragmatic, maintainable and

supportable.

 That the current solution does not include any potential obstacles to the
deployment of business strategy and future development of the system.

 General Findings: Planning

Finding & Impact Recommendation Short /Long Term

A new organizational unit (MDM department) The new department (or one or more responsible employee) Long Term
was proposed by the project team for master must be ready (people onboard and trained) before go-live.

Master data maintenance and control by a

will have a positive effect on data quality in the
system.

A more detailed article delisting procedure must
be defined. (within and out of SAP). With a more
detailed procedure in SAP, MM documents and
stocks for phased out articles can be managed
better
Different delisting statuses (block for procurement, block for Long Term
sales, block for planning, etc) can be used before setting a
deletion flag on the article.

It is necessary to have a more detailed list of
reporting requirements together with the method
/ source system of these reports. Standard SAP
reporting transactions related to processes are
listed in blueprint documents. In general, reports
to be supplied by BI are not clearly defined.
Prepare a list of reports expected from BI as soon as possible Short term
in order to see;
- Whether they can be supplied by BI,
- Total effort required in BI for these reports, Are they available
within BI standart functionality?
- Is there any need to change MM processes / transactions /
collected data in MM, to be able to have these reports in BI ?
