Executive Branch
● Headed by the President, responsible for implementing
and enforcing laws, administering government
agencies.
● Role of the President is serves as both the head of state
and head of government, commander-in-chief of the
Armed Forces, chief diplomat, chief executive.
● Responsibilities and powers of the executive branch is
enforcing laws, managing foreign affairs,
implementing policies, appointing officials, preparing
the national budget.
Legislative Branch
● Consists of the Senate and the House of Representatives,
with distinct roles and functions.
● The Functions of the Senate and House of
Representatives is Lawmaking, representation of
constituents, oversight of the executive branch, budget
approval.
● Lawmaking process is Introduction of bills, committee
review, debates and amendments, voting, approval by
both chambers, enactment into law.
Judicial Branch
● Independent branch of government tasked with
interpreting laws, settling disputes, upholding
the Constitution.
● Role of the Supreme Court is highest court in
the land, final arbiter of legal disputes, ensures
the constitutionality of laws and government
actions.
● Importance of judicial independence is to
ensures impartiality, upholds the rule of law,
safeguards individual rights.
Laws and Policies
● Creation and implementation of laws is Legislative process
involving both houses of Congress, signed into law by the
President, enforced by government agencies and the judiciary.
● Policy-making process is formulation of policies by
government officials and agencies, guided by legal
framework and public interest, implementation and
evaluation.
● Importance of laws and policies in governance is to provide
structure and order, address societal needs and challenges,
promote justice and fairness.
Public Services and Infrastructure
The establishment of a state in the government of the Philippines is essential for effective
governance and national development.
