Therefore, my dear brothers and
sisters, stand firm. Let nothing
move you. Always give yourselves
fully to the work of the Lord,
.
because you know that your labor
in the Lord is not in vain.

Kaya nga, mga kapatid kong
minamahal, kayo'y magsitatag,
huwag makilos, na laging
sumasagana sa gawa ng
Panginoon, yamang nalalaman
ninyo na hindi walang
. kabuluhan
ang inyong gawa sa Panginoon.
Gaano mo paninindigan
ang pananampalataya?
.
Ang ilan sa mga Church goer
ngayon – sa atin, ay ganitong
uri ng Believer, pabago -bago
ang isip sa pagsunod sa
.
Panginoon.
 Daniel means “God is my judge”.
 Daniel was probably 16 years old when
he was taken captive by Babylonia. He
died there at the age of 85. He never
.
saw his family, friends, or homeland
again.
Daniel’s life first changed when he
and his friends were taken to
serve King Nebuchadnezzar in his
court in Babylon, becoming
.
advisors to the king for the king’s
reign.
What matters most about his life
is how he remained faithful to
God throughout his life, while
living in a land where its
.
inhabitants had not even heard
of Jehovah.
At the beginning of Daniel 6,
things are looking great for
Daniel. He becomes one of three
administrators over the 120 newly
. who were like
appointed satraps,
governors.
Daniel impressed the
king so much the king
planned to set Daniel
.
over the whole kingdom.
Enter envy.

Mabuti po'y ipag-utos ninyong sa
loob ng tatlumpung araw ay walang
sasamba o mananalangin sa ibang
diyos o tao liban sa inyo. Sinumang
hindi susunod sa utos na ito ay
ihuhulog sa kulungan ng mga leon
They were relentless
in their pursuit and
convinced the king
to make a new rule
they knew Daniel
couldn’t keep.
Three times a day he got down on
his knees,
prayed, and gave thanks to his
God,
just as he had done before (Daniel
6:10).
Things go from really great
to really bad …
…and really fast.
Daniel persecuted for praying
to God, he is thrown into a pit
of hungry lions with no way to
escape.

Learning from Daniel
1. No Matter What Happens,
Never Give Up on God
 Daniel displays that a life devoted to God
yields a hope for the people rooted in
divine courage.
 Daniel exhibits to us all that we should
choose character over comfort.
 Social status and standing do not satisfy a
heart that desires to be in communion
with God.
.
Learning from Daniel
2. Disturbance reveals the true
essence of our commitment to
God.
Only the Impossible Can Happen
with God
in the latter part of Daniel 6, King
Darius arrived at the lions’ den the
next morning to find that Daniel
was alive and unharmed after a
night with the lions.
26 Iniuutos ko sa lahat ng aking
mga nasasakupan na matakot at
gumalang sa Diyos ni Daniel.
“Sapagkat siya ang Diyos na
buháy, at mananatili
magpakailanman.”

Conclusion:
Our devotion to God
invites us along a
journey of commitment.
Think about this:
In the swift transitions of
life, our devotion serves to
draw us closer to God and
not simply to drift away.
Live out our beliefs in a
world that seems to
discount the devotion of
believers.
