    Tawhid is the central concept in Islam that holds Allah is one and singular. It is considered the most important Islamic concept that a Muslim's religious adherence is based upon. The importance of Tawhid is that it leads to forgiveness from Allah and entry into Paradise, as shown in a hadith where the Prophet Muhammad said that Allah will forgive all sins for those who die believing only in Allah as the one true God. Maintaining correct beliefs in Tawhid is important for salvation.

    What Is Tawhid

    • Tawhid is the Islam's central and single most important


    concept, upon which a Muslim's entire religious adherence
    rests. It unequivocally holds that Allah is one and single.
    Why Is Tawhid Important?
    • The importance of Tawhid can be seen in the hadeeth narrated by Anas where
    Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said that Allah says: “O son of Adam, if
    you were to come to Me with sins that are close to filling the Earth, and you
    would then meet Me without ascribing any partners with Me, I would certainly
    [also] bring to you forgiveness close to filling it [the Earth].” (Al-Tirmidhi)
    • This hadeeth explains the great benefit of having Tawhid. Allah has promised to
    forgive those people who die whilst believing or worshipping only Allah. This
    means that all those people who have Tawhid will go to Paradise. However,
    innovations (in religious acts) and major sins can decrease the quality of a
    person’s belief in Tawhid.
