POSITIONING STATEMENT:
For price-sensitive consumers around the globe, Walmart is a
multinational retail corporation that provides everyday products at the
lowest possible price. What sets Walmart apart is its operational
excellence, inventory management, and commitment to helping people
live better lives by saving them money.

During the Recession Walmart does well because of a low prices wide
selection of products.

For Walmart to compete with the retailers economy is the rise they would
need to have a more flexible approach to the market using the following
steps:

 Place : Increasing its instore experiences by being more visually


attractive and offer a more comfortable shopping experience.

 Promotion: Increase their online presence in order to grow their


customer base as well as retain existing ones.

 Product: Put a focus on what the consumer requires and expand


its products by introducing quality products that customers are
willing to pay for.

 Pricing: Walmart will have more freedom with their pricing


strategy as the economy rises, therefore they can introduce more
premium products.
