will assist with identification of appropriate
sites;

• Away from bony


prominences
•Away from skin creases
• Easily visible to the patient.

bag
• Perfusion of mucosa (most
relevant in early post-operative
stage)
• One lumen or two visible
• Rod if present, palpable
through bag
• Any complications (see below)
