Hisarya is a small resort town in Bulgaria.

Hisar means ‘fort, castle’ in Arabic. There are
many hot springs. It was founded thousands of
years ago. After many wars it became a Roman
town- one of the three most important
countries in the province. it is said that when
the romans were fighting, the wounded
soldiers took thermal baths as a treatment.
But eventually, this town was included in the
province of Eastern Rumelia.
When you walk around, you can see the
South gate of Hisarya’s Late Roman
fortifications as well as the Western gate of
Hisarya’s Late Roman city wall and other
ancient buildings.
I recommend Hisarya because is a nice place
for relaxation, health recovery and illness
treatment and it has many cosy luxurious
smaller and affordable hotels.
