4) Termination of NAS signaling related to session management

6) Traffic steering configuration for UPF for proper traffic routing.

C) User plane function (UPF) supports:


1) Packet routing & forwarding
2) Packet inspection
3) QoS handling
4) Acts as external PDU session point of interconnect to Data Network (DN), and
5) An anchor point for intra- & inter-RAT mobility.

D) Policy Control Function (PCF) supports:


1) Unified policy framework
2) Providing policy rules to CP functions
3) Access subscription information for policy decisions in UDR.

3) Interaction with policy framework for policy control.

1) Selecting of the Network Slice instances to serve the UE
