VERTICAL

PROJECTILE MOTION
TOPIC 2 TERM 1
TO NOTE ABOUT PROJECTILES

NOTE:
• A projectile falls freely at constant gravitational acceleration of 9.8 m.s-1
• Thus an object changes the magnitude and direction of its velocity not its
acceleration
• The time from upwards to the turning point and turning point to the initial
position is the same
• The speed in which the projectile leaves your hand is the same velocity at
which it returns but in the opposite direction
• The displacement of n object is the shortest vertical distance between its
initial and final velocity
