employ a circular
architecture with
a thin shell dome.
 Leandro Locsin
Architectural vision drew
inspiration from the spirit
of times. Reminiscent of a
flying saucer, the spherical
structure indicated a keen
interest in space travel;
and the advancements in
science and technology in
the 1950’s.
 It is recognize as a National Historical
Landmarks and Cultural Treasure

National Historical Institute (now known

as the National Historical Commission of
the Philippines) and by the National
Museum.
 The church consolidates the work of
five National Artist:
