• Define circuit laws(L1).

• Apply circuit laws on electrical networks(L3).
• Apply transformation techniques, mesh and nodal
analysis to circuits (L3).
• Analyze electrical networks using network
theorems(L4).

Concepts of Branch, Node, Junction, Loop, Mesh

 Branch of electrical circuit

It represents single circuit elements such
as voltage source, resistor etc…
Concepts of Branch, Node, Junction, Loop, Mesh
 Node in electrical Circuit
A point in a network where two or more elements
are connected is called Node
 Junction in electrical circuit
A point in a network where three or more
elements are connected is called Junction
 Loop in electrical circuit
Any close path in electrical circuit is
called as a loop.
 Mesh in electrical circuit
A closed path in the circuit which does not enclose
any other close path inside it is called mesh.
