Spatial organization

• Spatial organization paragraph is used to


describe location of places, objects, and people
in space. It is used to describe movement
through spaces. For example , Spatial
organization is used by architects to describe
buildings; engineers to describe the parts of
the engine; historians to describe the routes
explorers followed.
• A paragraph of Spatial organization usually
leads to readers to form a pictures as they read

• The Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC., is a
monument to Abraham Lincoln. Wide stairs lead
to the entrance. The interior of the monument is
divided into three sections. The rooms on the left
and the right are separated from the center section
by a row of columns. Two of Lincoln’s famous
speeches are engraved on the walls of these
rooms. The center sections is open to the front of
the monuments. Here there is a large statue of
Lincoln, seated in a chair facing the entrance.

other building, or even your house. Make sure
