IMPORTANCE OF SURAH AL KAHF

• Muslim, Abu Daud, Tirmizi, Nisai and Musnad Ahmed

• Hazrat Abu Durda RA narrates theat whoever learns the first 10 ayah of Surah Al Kahf will be
saved from the Fitna of Dajjal
• MQ
• Fazeelat on Recitation:
• First 10 ayat – safety from fitna
of dajjal Musnad Ahmed
• First 3 ayat – Tirmizi sharif
• Last 10 ayat – muslim sharif
• First 10 ayat – nisai
• First part and last part recitation will get noor from head to toe – Musnad Ahmed
• The one who recited full surah will noor from sky to bottom – Musnad Ahmed

Rasool Allah SWWW said that:

Surah Kahf was revealed full in one go and 70,000 angels brought it down.

This shows the blessings and bigness it contains.

• As mentioned by Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri RA that whoever recites Surah Kahf on
Friday will have the noor going all the way up to baitullah from his body.

• Hazrat Ali RA narrates that Rasool Allah SAWW said that whoever will recite Surah Al
kahf on Friday will be away from all fitna for next 8 days even if Dajal comes out, it
wont affect him/her

WHY THIS SURAH WAS REVEALED?

• In Makkah when Rasol Allah SAWW nabowat got fame and Quraish e Makkah were worried

• They sent two people (Nazar bin haris and Uqba ibn abi moeet) to Ulema of Yahood of Madina
Tayaba who were Aalim of Toraat and Injeel to inquire about Rasool Allah SAWW.

• The Ulma e Yahood said you ask three questions from Rasool Allah SAWW. If he gives the
right answer then you will get confirmation that he is the Rasool of Allah ST.

3 QUESTIONS???

• Ask him about the story of young people who left their city in old times. What was their
story and why this story was strange / weird?

• Also ask him about the person who travelled around the globe from east to west?

• Ask him about the soul that what it is all about?

• These two people returned to Makkah
• They went to Rasool Allah SAWW and asked these questions….
• Rasool Allah SAWW said I will revert your questions tomorrow. But Rasool Allah SAWW forgot to
say INSHAALLAH
• And he started to wait for Wahi…… Wahi did not revealed and in this condition 15 days passed
by…..
• Quraish e Makkah started making fun on this delay of response and Rasool Allah SAWW was very
sad on this situation

• After 15 days Hazrat Jibrael AS came with Surah Al Kahf
• The reason of delay in Wahi was to teach a lesson to say InShaAllah on every time you
commit for anything.
• This surah answered all three questions they asked.

• 1 and 3 have something in common. The young man were running in pursuit of safety/
guidance of Allah swt and Hazrat Moosa AS in pursuit of knowledge and Allah has asked
him to learn from. They both have void which they were filling up.
• 2 and 4, the commonalities are wealth, goods, material resources. The outcome is
different.

• Anchors: are key words in the surah and then later on comes again and then connect. Like
you re live a memory.

‫ِإَّنا َجَع ۡل َنا َم ا َع َلى ٱَأۡلۡر ِض ِز يَنٗة َّلَها ِلَنۡب ُلَو ُهۡم َأُّيُهۡم َأۡح َس ُن َع َم اٗل‬
• All the things mentioned below are for the beauty of earth.
• Living beings
• Plants
• Mountains
• Minerals inside the earth

There are living beings which are injurious for the life like snake, crabs and other animals
But in the world which Allah swt has created all good and bad things have their importance and
benefits one can drive out from.
• Kahf meaning:
• Mountian
• Wide cave

• Raqeem meaning:
• Written
• Mufasir says three things:
• King of that time engraved their names on a sheet and put on the door of cave
• Raqeem is the name of the area in which the mountain is located
• Raqeem is the name of city near Uqba which is located in Room.
ASHAB E KAHF AND RAQEEM

• These both are same groups. One name!!!!

• They are the three people who were inside the cave
