 LATAR BELAKANG
 Pada tahap pembangunan suatu gedung harus didasarkan dengan kualitas yang
baik, yang akan menjadikannya sebagai tempat yang aman maupun nyaman
bagi manusia melakukan segala aktivitas sesuai dengan fungsi bangunan
tersebut.

 Berdasarkan beberapa studi literatur peneliti bermaksud untuk mengangkat

tema penelitian dan/atau tugas akhir (Skripsi) mengenai Analisis Kerusakan
suatu Bangunan Gedung yang ada di Kota Tarakan.

 Gedung Graha Pemuda Kota Tarakan merupakan gedung yang di fungsikan

oleh pelbagai jenis kegiatan baik kegiatan kesenian, kegiatan kontes, olahraga
bela diri, acara musyawarah, dan lain-lain.

 Kendati demikian kondisi fisik dari bangunan gedung tersebut dapat terlihat
sebagian komponen bangunan yang mengalami kerusakan. Dari kondisi
tersebut peneliti bermaksud melanjutkan penelitian lebih lanjut.
