What is HGX?
• NVIDIA HGX refers to the NVIDIA HGX platform, which is a scalable computing
platform designed for high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI)
workloads
• Unlike the pre-built standard configuration of the NVIDIA DGX, the HGX allows for
customization and building a unique supercomputer based on specific needs and
requirements.
DGX v/s HGX
• HGX is a platform, while DGX is a pre-built server : HGX provides the building blocks
to create custom AI supercomputing systems, while DGX offers a ready-to-run solution.
• HGX is highly scalable
• HGX is generally more expensive than DGX due to its customizability and potential for
high-performance configurations.
What to choose ?
• Choose DGX if you need a readily available, powerful AI solution and don't require
extreme customization or the highest performance.
• Choose HGX if you require maximum performance, scalability, and control over your AI
infrastructure and have the budget and expertise to manage it.
