    What is Dengue?

    Dengue (DENG-gey) fever is a mosquito-borne illness that


    occurs in tropical and subtropical areas of the world. Mild
    dengue fever causes a high fever and flu-like symptoms.
    The severe form of dengue fever, also called dengue
    hemorrhagic fever, can cause serious bleeding, a sudden
    drop in blood pressure (shock) and death.
    Types and causes of dengue

    Dengue virus infection can cause:


    1) Classic dengue
    2) Dengue hemorrhagic fever
    3) Dengue shock syndrome

    Dengue is cause by four serotypes:


    DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, DEN-4
    Symptoms
    Transmission
    Prevention and treatment

    There’s no specific treatment for dengue


    This is a way on how to prevent dengue: but there’s a way that we can do to heal
    from this disease:
     Use fogging
     Prevent water from accumulating  Give nutrition or electrolit like use
     Put desinfectant down the drains saline solution, eat healthy foods like
     Use of repellent fruits, foods that increase platelet;
     Be conscious with your waste  Some doctor give medicine like
    acetominofen, paracetamol to resolve
    the pain symptoms

    Timor leste
    In 2023 at january, have identified 741
    cases of dengue and recorded five
    fatalities;
    And in april it dicrease to 121 cases.
    Conclusion

    ● Dengue is an acute febrile illness caused by a virus and is one of the


    major public health problems in the world and more dangerously
    dengue also has the potential to cause death if treated late.
    ● Dengue is cause by virus DEN 1-4 that transmit by mosquitoes Aedes
    Aegypti. There’s no treatment but we can prevent it. Being human being
    we must taking care of our health through hygiene, consumption
    healthy foods and make some physical exercise.
    ● When it comes to dengue cases in TL, the health ministry has noted that
    since January they have identified 741 dengue cases, five of which
    caused death, revealed from the national public health director,
    Frederico Bosco to Tatoli in Dili, April 19, 2023.
