Bitcoin, created in 2009, is a decentralized cryptocurrency with
transactions cheaper than traditional systems. It has a market cap over

Public and private keys facilitate transactions, and Bitcoin employs
peer-to-peer technology for instant payments. Independent miners
regulate the network, with a capped supply of 21 million bitcoins.
Transactions in cryptocurrency occur through wallets.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Descriptive research was conducted using a

quantitative survey, specifically a questionnaire, to
analyse consumer awareness of cryptocurrencies.
The survey targeted a convenient sample of 250
people, employing a Random Sampling Method.
Out of the respondents, 210 indicated no awareness
of Bitcoins, leading to a focus on the remaining
responses for interpretation and conclusion in line
with research objectives.

INTRODUCTION

Cryptocurrency is digital money secured

by encryption, invented in 2008 for
independent financial control. It
operates on decentralized blockchain
networks, ensuring security and
resisting counterfeiting. Transactions
involve coded data, offering safety
through encryption. Bitcoin, introduced
in 2009, is the first and most popular
cryptocurrency, with others like
Ethereum, Litecoin and Ripple also
existing. Transactions are faster,
cheaper, and more reliable without
intermediaries.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This study is both descriptive and exploratory, aiming to collect quantifiable data for analysis
and investigate previously unstudied problems. It is empirical, utilizing statistically tested data
for conclusive evidence. Two variables, independent (gender & awareness) and dependent
(awareness & willingness), are examined. Data is gathered through a self-designed
questionnaire and journals/articles. 163 questionnaires from Jaipur entrepreneurs were
collected, with 150 retained after editing. Analysis involves percentage analysis, frequency,
graphs, charts, and non-parametric tests (Mann-Whitney U and Chi Square) due to non-
normal data. .
RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

 To study about the consumer

awareness of cryptocurrency in India.

 To study the various factors, which are

important in adoption of cryptocurrency.
