M.Bonaciex was traped. The questioned the visitors. D'Artagnon listened cries
and moans as if someone was stifled. The woman was belong to the queen.
D’artagnan called his three friends he took the sword he rushed to M.
Bonacieux’ room. D’artagnan took her to her house and explained. M
Bonacieux told him she was going to be kidnapped but she escaped she said she
need she needs to go to the queen. D’artagnan told M. de Traville her history
and thanked him for his information.

D’artagnan took the longest way to home. Visited Armis and he was surprised to
see a woman and blocked in a cloak the woman turned round pulling down her
head but d’artagnan had already recognised and followed her the woman ran in
the dog known ran after her she fell and kept crying and said kill me if you
please. Mme. Bonacieux open their eyes to recognise what happened. He want
to protect her and she allows him to escort her to the next house the musketeers
pushed D’artagnan.

Chapter 9
Mme. Bonacieux and the duke entered the Louvre. Mme Bonacieux escorted the
duke into an apartment and locked him in; he was literally a prisoner. A door
opened and the queen, Anne of Austria, stepped in. The duke was dazzled for a
moment as she never looked this beautiful to him. Buckingham threw himself at
her feet and kissed the hem of her dress. She told him that she wasn’t the one
who write the letter to which he responded by saying that he knows it’s the
cardinal’s trap. She told him that they must not see each other again. He said
that he would declare war on France just to be near her. Eventually she gave him
a souvenir: a diamond brooch. He got out and found Mme. Bonacieux was
waiting for him and got him out of the louvre.

The officers that Arrested M. Bonacieux brought him to the bastille, he got the worst insults and harshest
treatment, he was brought to Cardinal Richelieu himself. There was a Square table which had the unrolled
plan of the city. The man asked "is that bonacieux?" the officer replied with "yes monsignor," as he gave
him some cardinal papers and left•"you are accused of high treason" said the cardinal but bonacieux swore
he knew nothing about it•"you have conspired with your wife, with Madame de chevreuse and with my
lord Duke of Buckingham" said the cardinal•M. Bonacieux told the cardinal all about his wife's activities.
•A person entered the room..•"It is he!" Cried bonacieux "He abducted my wife!!"•"Place this man in the
care of his guards again and let him wait till I send for him•The cardinal convinced the little landlord to
spy on his own wife for him•"Well," said the latter "A young woman of about 26 years of age and a man
about 35, did lodge at the 2 houses pointed out by your Eminence; but they have left the places
already."•The cardinal wrote a letter and ordered it to be delivered to London without a single halt till it
reaches Milady•"Here is an order for 200 pistoles; call upon my treasurer and get the money. You shall
have as much again if you are back within' 6 days"•The letter stated "MILADY, be at the first ball at which
the Duke of Buckingham shall be present. He will wear on his doublet 12 diamond studs; Get as near to
him as you can and cut off 2. As soon as these studs are in your possession inform me."

M.de Treville was informed that Athos hadn’t reappeared yet,then by successive
inquiries they knew that Athos was lodged in the Fort Levesque. Athos had been
sent to the cardinal, which was at the Loivre with the king. The king’s
prejudices were against the queen.The woman de Chevreuse came to paris for 5
days and outwitted the police. Treville explained to the king about Athos when
he gone visiting D’Artagnan and how the cardinal’s guards seized the innocent
Athos and placing him between two guards. The king then accused D’Artagnan
of thrashing and throwing his guards from bonacieux’s residence.
