Main rules to isometric drawing:
 Horizontal edges are drawn at 30
degrees.
 Vertical edges are drawn as vertical
lines.
 Parallel lines never meet, no matter
how far they are extended. edges
appear as parallel lines.
Tips to draw Isometric
drawing accurately:
1. Use light lines to draw axes (right axes,
left axes, and vertical axes).
2. The first vertical axis consists of
HEIGHT.
3. First left axis consists of WIDTH
4. The first right axis consists of DEPTH.
5. Corners with details from the right
axes going to the left
6. Corners with details from the left
axes going to the right
7. The detail of measurement is not the
same as the total measurement.
8. You can use a ruler at the bottom if a
45° triangle is not available.
On clean paper or
bond paper, do the
isometric projection.
Use the rubric as
your guide.

constructing an Isometric
Drawing
Materials and tools needed:
Triangles 30° x60° triangle and
45° x45°/ruler
Pencil
Eraser
Short Bond paper
1.Draw a horizontal line.



2. Draw a
vertical
line

3.Draw the right
axis

4.Draw
the left axis

5. Put the details of the
measurement on the
vertical axis.

right axis (DEPTH).

8. Project the
endpoints of
the right axis
and the left
axis upward

9. Additional
