    Early menopause, which occurs before age 40, can increase long-term health risks like cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis. A review study analyzed lifestyle and medical interventions that could help mitigate these risks. Regular exercise, a healthy diet, weight management, and stopping smoking were found to significantly lower cardiovascular and bone health risks. Hormone replacement therapy, if initiated soon after menopause, was also shown to reduce risks if used for the shortest necessary time.
