Sins ‫مرحبا‬
‫مرحبا‬
The 7 great destructive sins according to
Hadith.

By:
Muhammad Umar Year-10B
“The Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬said, Avoid the 7 great destructive sins. The people said, “O Messenger of Allah, what
are they?” The Prophet said, “Idolatry with Allah, occult magic, killing a soul that Allah has
sanctified except for a just cause, consuming usury, usurping the property of an orphan,
fleeing the battlefield, and accusing chaste but unwary believing women.”

—Abu Huraira (R.A)

SHIRK
Shirk in simple words is to worship anyone or anything alongside
Allah(S.W.T).
Shirk represents multiple gods, the opposite of the Islamic religious system,
which defends Allah’s singularity and uniqueness. If the individual dies
without seeking repentance, this grievous transgression violates Quranic
injunctions, making it an “ unforgivable sin ” (Surah An-Nisa, 4:48).
When a person commits shirk, he sells himself to the other gods (he
worships), and so he is deprived of paradise, the mercy, love, and care of
Allah.
Black Magic (Sihr)
According to Sharie’ah, the meaning of sihr is what the magicians do to delude
and confuse people, so that the one who is watching thinks that it is real when in fact it
is not.
There 10 types of Sihr, they are:
● Sihr of Separation:It is used to create hatred between a couple or friends.
● Sihr Al-Mahabbah (love): It makes a man love his wife, which is an act of shirk.
● Sihr At-Takhyil:It makes a false appearance of an object, this is what happened in
the times of Prophet Musa (A.S)
● Sihr Al-Junoon:It is when a jinn takes control of a person's brain and makes it go
insane.
● Sihr Al-Khumul (Lethargy):It is when a jinn is send to target a person, control
his brain and make him become lonely and introverted.
Killing an innocent soul (Qatlu ‘l-Nafsi)
Allah (SWT) has said that harming a human being irrespective of religion or race is an offense
against all Mankind as a whole.

Unless you are in job responsible for executing someone.

Repent beforehand can ease the punishment.

“Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or a corruption [done] in the land it is as if he had slain
mankind entirely.” [Al-Mā’idah: Verse 32]
Consuming Interest(Riba)
Accepting/giving Riba both highly punished.

Riba is a way of robbing the poor to make the rich richer, which leads to a
world of economic injustice.

Both human life & the wealth they possess are blessed in Islam so should be
protected from financial manipulation.

The Quran thus directs them to genuine trade where risk is shared.
Usurping An Orphan’s Property
Prohibited to use the orphan's money except for the
need/benefit of the orphan.
If the trustee is poor, then a moderate amount of money
could be used for essentials (effort for taking care the
child); If the trustee is rich, then it's not allowed at all to
use the orphan's money (due to the vulnerable position
of orphan in society).
Fleeing Away From a BattleField

Defending/protecting one’s people is a Shar'iah duty which

calls for firmness and determination in fear of one’s enemy.
It's a treason of one’s comrades because it weakens morale,
empowers enemy to harm the people trying to defend.
Protecting one’s nation is a form of Jihad for Allah.
It can also be when disobey commands issued by the State.
To Accuse Chaste Women of Committing Adultery

A grave sin that insults honor of families, damage

families, and spread impurity and hostility in society.
Islam is keen on preserving a stable&safe society,
which protecting the honor of families are vital.
A form of this sin can be irrespective phrase (son of
adultress, etc. )
Thanks!
