Roles

- Roles in group properties are the functions or


tasks that each member performs within a group.
- Roles can be formal (assigned by the group

informal (emerging naturally from the
interactions and personalities of the group
members).

Norms in group properties are a way of measuring


how well a group performs according to certain
criteria, such as cohesion, communication,
productivity, or satisfaction. Norms can be explicit or
implicit, formal or informal, and positive or negative.
Norms can also influence the behavior, attitudes, and
performance of group members. Norms can be
established by the group itself, by external
authorities, or by the situation.

Status

One of the attributes that you can use to filter users


in Active Directory is the status in group properties.
This attribute indicates whether a user is a member
of a specific group or not. You can use this attribute
to create dynamic groups based on membership
criteria, or to apply policies and permissions to group
members.

One of the group properties that can be used to


describe a set of elements is the size. The size of a
group is the number of distinct elements in the group.
The size of a group can be finite or infinite, depending
on whether the group has a finite or infinite number of
elements.
