and encourage people to come to them
with problems (both work related and
personal issues).
Areas where counseling may be required
• Change Management: Feelings dealt are fear,
insecurity.
• Downsizing: lack of trust, anger, fear, de-motivation,
disinterest, hostility
• Mentoring: Services that can be provided are:
 how organization works,
 understand organizational politics,
 knowledge about aspects of business and industry,
 Help set self developmental goals,
 coaching in particular skill
Managing diversity:
Heterogeneous group
Communication

Crisis/Trauma:
Excessive stress through accident, death,
kidnapping, extortions, floods, fire, raids etc.
Feelings: shock, nightmares, loss of interest,
inability to concentrate, insomnia, anxiety,
depression, disorientation, nervous breakdown.
