back to the 19th century, it was not until the
1940’s that it became a distinct discipline.

has evolved, moving away from one-on-one and
mass media behavioral approaches to provide
accountability for policies, processess, and
environment that influence population heath.
 Health education and Health promotion are frequently used interchangebly in the United
States in the 21st century, where a health promotion is uses globally as an umbrella defination
that involves health education.
