 Supply chain
 A supply chain is a sequence of suppliers , warehouses, operations and
retail outlets.
 Supply Chain refers to the way that materials flow through different
organizations, starting with raw materials and ending with finished
products delivered to the ultimate consumer.

Supply chain Management (SCM) is the broad range of activities required
to plan, control and execute a product's flow, from acquiring raw materials
and production through distribution to the final customer, in the most
streamlined and cost-effective way possible.

o The first stage in supply chain management is known as ‘Plan’.
o A plan is developed to address how a given goods or service will meet the
needs of the customers.
2.DevelOP
o ‘Develop’ is the next stage in supply chain management .
o It involves building a strong relationship with suppliers of the raw materials
needed in making the product the company delivers.
o Involves not only identifying reliable suppliers but also planning methods for
shipping, delivery, and payment.
3.MAKE
o The third stage in supply chain management is ‘Make’
o The product is manufactured, tested, packaged, and scheduled for delivery.
o Companies are able to measure quality levels, production output and worker
productivity.

4.DELIVER
o Fourth stage of supply chain management is ‘Deliver’
o Customer orders are received and delivery of the goods is planned.
o Companies coordinate the receipt of orders from customers, develop a network of
warehouses, pick carriers to get products to customers and set up an invoicing
system to receive payments.
5.RETURN
o The final stage of supply chain management is called ‘Return’.
o Customers may return defective products.
o This can be a problematic part of the supply chain for many companies.
