PRESENTATION OF THE CAF ANNUAL REPORT

FY 2022/2023
PREAMBLE

• THIS REPORT DOCUMENTS ALL THE FORUMS ACTIVITIES AND INTERVENTIONS FROM 1 ST OF JULY, 2022 TO 30TH JUNE, 2023.

• THIS WAS A TRANSITION PERIOD WITHIN THE ELECTORAL CYCLE OF THE REPUBLIC OF KENYA.

• SINCE THE PROMULGATION OF THE CONSTITUTION OF KENYA, THE PERIOD MARKED THE 3 RD CYCLE OF GENERAL
ELECTIONS FOLLOWING THE 2013 AND 2017 ELECTIONS THAT WERE HELD.

• THE FORUM ALSO SAW A TRANSITION OF ITS LEADERSHIP AT BOTH THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND THE GOVERNING
COUNCIL.

• SOME OF THE FORUM MEMBERS ALSO TRANSITED TO HIGHER POLITICAL POSITION IN THE COUNTRY WHILE OTHERS
RETAINED THEIR SEATS AS SPEAKERS AND MCAS AND MANY OTHERS UNFORTUNATELY LOST THEIR SEATS TO NEW
MEMBERS.

• THIS REPORT WILL PROVIDE A DETAILED ANALYSIS OF THE FORUMS ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS FOR THE PERIOD

support to budget offices in county assemblies and the 5 th Legislative Summit.
9. CAF in partnerships with CRECO held consultative meeting with CSOs for
purposes of collaboration and partnership on areas of mutual interest.
10. Engaged The Ministry of East Africa Community to discuss areas of
cooperation and partnership between CAF and the Ministry.

to create a platform that nurtures talents while embracing diversity and inclusivity in the
sporting arena

1. Engaged with the SRC on review and setting of renumerations and benefits for state officers
2. Release of the remuneration and benefits structures for the state officers at the county assemblies
3. Stakeholder Engagement on the Job descriptions for MCAs
4. Release of the third cycle of job evaluation for state officers at the county assemblies
5. Engagement with Senate standing committee on Devolution, to seek clarification on the absence
for salary review of MCAs
6. Engagement with Commission of Revenue Allocation on Budget Ceilings for Recurrent
