Objective:

Today we’re going talk about past events in a


story using the simple past and past continuous.
The dog that was lost appeared in a
different area.

My cousin dropped his cellphone when he


was chatting, and it broke.

Three years ago, I lost my wallet in the


park and left it behind.
What did you do last night?
I went to the movies with my family.

On my last vacation, I traveled to Spain,


and I stayed in a hotel there. I ate paella
and took a lot of photos.

On my last birthday, I went to Trujillo on


a short trip, and we had a great
celebration at the beach.
Regular verbs

My mother watched the latest spiderman movie at
Cinemark.
My father didn’t cook his lunch yesterday.

Irregular verbs
Mario ate a big hamburger for lunch today.
My grandma had a big celebration for her birthday.
My brother didn’t drink beer on his celebration at the
office.
My brother usually gives me a ride to work when I’m late.

The other day, I was taking an exam and I couldn’t figure


out the questions in it. I was in trouble.

This is a funny story. I was going to the park with my dog


when I noticed that it started to rain; I started to run with
my dog very fast. While we were running, I fell down and
my dog continued running. All my clothes were wet, and
I couldn’t find my glasses. Fortunately, my sister saw me
and helped me while she was laughing.
Conclusions

We can talk about past events in a story using

possibilities using conditionals and quantifiers.

In my area, there is a lot of noise in the morning


because there is a lot of traffic.

Sometimes, there are traffic jams in the city and people


arrive late to work.

In a big city, like Lima, the air is polluted because of


smoke of old cars and factories.
My brother has a lot of video games in his catalog of PS, around 120 games.
Mariela doesn’t have many friends at the university, just three. She has few friends.
My mother needs lots of time to complete her chores at home because she always does
those singing.
My grandmother has little patience for me and my cousins when we visit her.
