OVERVIEW
• Software defined version of storage ONTAP which provide a cloud data management storage

BACKGROUND & SCOPE

• Geo-redundant backups for Subsurface data (off-site backup of primary backup) are kept on costly On-
Prem storage

• Migrate ~4PB of Geo-redundant Subsurface backups (non-DR critical) to cloud storage

• Only Geo Redundant & SnapVault Data from HCF, CGY, STJ, LHD, ESH will be migrated to CVO

• MKL & ABU sites are excluded from migration due to data sovereignty. While LAG is excluded due to
limited network bandwidth.
