Introduction

 Bangladesh is an agricultural country.

 About 65 to 70 percent people of our country depends on

agriculture.

 So, research in agricultural sector is aimed towards.

Motivation

 In many developing countries as well as Bangladesh, most farmers don’t

get proper instructions about how to increase productivity by detecting
plant diseases and taking action against the situations.

 In some cases, the customers buy vegetables that may be expired date.

 So we focused on developing a prototype system to detect diseases and

grade vegetables using an image processing system.
Related Work

 D.AI Bashes, M Brik, and S. Bani-Ahmed [1] have proposed a work for
the detection of the visual plant stem and leaf diseases. The developed
framework is based on image processing and consists of the steps; firstly,
the K-Means technique is used to segment the images, secondly, the
obtained segments are passed through a trained neural network. The final
results indicate that the proposed approach precisely and automatically
detects leaf diseases. The classifier developed which is based on statistical
classification performed well and can successfully classify and detect
diseases.
Contribution

 Several research has already existed about automated

plant disease detection using image processing but the
accuracy of those is not a highly satisfactory
level(maximum 85-90%).

 We try our level best in this research and are able to

increase the accuracy level(around 95%) of our system.
Problem Definition

 Farmers in Bangladesh have faced many problems in growing

plants.

 Many diseases are attacked by Bacteria, Fungi, and Insects.

 These damage the quality of vegetables.

 Sometimes the farmers are not able to find what actually

happened and what actions are instantly to be taken.

 The farmer may take a long time to determine the disease and
may be late to take action against it.

 Presentation using PowerPoint

 Microsoft Office Word for Writing Documentation

Hardware Requirements:
 Laptop

 Camera
Result

 The output of the system is showing the results of different features of the images
and the results whether the leaf is infected or not diseases name with the dialog
message.

 If the leaf is infected then show the percentage of the area of the leaf and if not the
infected region is 0 .

 The result of the system is showed up a message dialog on filled text with accuracy
value.
Future Work

 In future , we work on more accuracy of the

result.

 The samples are increasing in future.
