Business Students Perspective


Course content
• The BTEC Level 3 Diplomas are broadly equivalent to two/three GCE
A Levels. The programme aims to provide students with an in depth
understanding of the operations and structures of businesses and also
to equip students with the skills required to succeed in employment or
at university. The course will involve businesses in the public, private
and voluntary sectors.
Why study Business level
3 at WSFC
• This qualification is for learners 16 years old or over who want
to gain a broad understanding of business, but don’t want to
specialise in a specific business function at this stage.
• It is a mix of exams and coursework so will suit learners who
prefer a variety of assessment methods.
• Doing Business Studies will give you a broad knowledge of
business operations.
• It complements a wide range of other subjects
• It provides you with skills such as finance and team working,
which will enable you to succeed in any situation in any area of
your life
• You will develop transferable skills which will help you when
applying for jobs, apprenticeships or higher education, eg
decision-making, problem solving and time management
