ELECTRIC SYSTEMS
"Geothermal Energy: A Renewable Source of Sustainable Energy
Potential"
Based on Geothermal energy…

• Geothermal energy is a form of renewable energy that is derived from heat

stored inside the Earth. This heat comes mainly from the decay of radioactive
elements and residual heat from the planet's formation. Geothermal energy is
harnessed by extracting heat from the Earth and converting it into electricity or
heating for use in industrial, commercial and residential applications.
Geothermal Energy Potential:

• Geothermal energy is found in regions with high geothermal activity, such as

Iceland, the Pacific Ring of Fire, and the East African Rift. Its electricity
generation and heating capacity varies depending on location.
Advantage of Geothermal Energy:
• Geothermal energy is sustainable.

• Emits low amounts of carbon.

• It is constantly available, making it an attractive source of energy.

Challenges and Limitations:

• Finding viable geothermal resources

• Significant initial investments

• Possibility of local depletion are key challenges. In addition, there are

technological and geographical limitations.

GEOTHERMAL ENERGY
• Nuevo León
REASONS WHY SOME COUNTRIES DO NOT USE GEOTHERMAL
ENERGY…

• In some cases, conventional energy sources may be cheaper or

easier to implement than geothermal energy, discouraging their
adoption.

• Lack of knowledge about the advantages and potential of geothermal

energy can lead to a lack of interest in its development.

• The lack of supportive policies and clear regulations around

geothermal energy can discourage its development.
FINALLY
