FORWARD
PHILIPPIANS 3:12-16
 PHILIPPIANS 3:12-16
12 NOT THAT I HAVE ALREADY OBTAINED
ALL THIS, OR HAVE ALREADY ARRIVED AT
MY GOAL, BUT I PRESS ON TO TAKE HOLD
OF THAT FOR WHICH CHRIST JESUS TOOK
HOLD OF ME. 13 BROTHERS AND SISTERS, I
DO NOT CONSIDER MYSELF YET TO HAVE
TAKEN HOLD OF IT. BUT ONE THING I DO:
FORGETTING WHAT IS BEHIND AND
STRAINING TOWARD WHAT IS AHEAD,
 PHILIPPIANS 3:12-16
14 I PRESS ON TOWARD THE GOAL TO WIN
THE PRIZE FOR WHICH GOD HAS CALLED
ME HEAVENWARD IN CHRIST JESUS.
15 ALL OF US, THEN, WHO ARE MATURE
SHOULD TAKE SUCH A VIEW OF THINGS.
AND IF ON SOME POINT YOU THINK
DIFFERENTLY, THAT TOO GOD WILL MAKE
CLEAR TO YOU. 16 ONLY LET US LIVE UP TO
WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY ATTAINED.
 DISCONTENTMENT
“GOD DID NOT SAVE US SO THAT WE CAN SIT BACK AND
TAKE IT EASY ON THE WAY TO HEAVEN.”
 DISCONTENTMENT
A LOT OF
TIMES WE CAN
BECOME SO
RELAXED WE
FORGET
WHERE WE
ARE OR WE
LOSE FOCUS.
 DISCONTENTMENT
THAT’S WHAT
HAPPENS TO MANY
OF THE DYING
CHURCHES TODAY,
THEY’VE TURNED ON
THE CRUISE
CONTROL AND HAVE
BECOME SO
RELAXED THAT THEY
HAVE FORGOTTEN
WHERE THEY ARE
AND THEY’VE LOST
FOCUS.
 DISCONTENTMENT
Many churches
nowadays, lost
it’s focus, too
much time on
entertainments
and forgetting
to give the
“WORDS OF
GOD THE MAIN
FOCUS”
 DISCONTENTMENT
SPIRITUALLY
SPEAKING, WE
NEED TO BE
CAREFUL NOT
TO FALL
ASLEEP AT THE
WHEEL. THERE
ARE LIVES AT
STAKE.
 DISCONTENTMENT
WE NEED TO
BECOME
DISSATISFIED-
NOT WITH
WHERE WE
ARE IN LIFE,
BUT WITH
WHERE WE
ARE IN CHRIST.
 DISCONTENTMENT
Brethren, I
do not count
myself to
have
apprehended
 DISCONTENTMENT
You’re never
going to
make it
anywhere if
you think
you’ve
already
arrived.
DEVOTION
“BUT ONE THING I DO”
DEVOTION
To the rich young ruler,
Jesus said, “One thing
you lack”.
To Martha…Jesus said,
“But one thing is
needed.”
In Ps. 27:4, David said:
“One thing I have
desired of the Lord.”
And here, Paul says:
“but one thing I do”.
DEVOTION
THE WHEEL HAS
MANY SPOKE AND
SO DO WE IN OUR
LIVES: WORK,
SCHOOL, HOBBIES,
FAMILY, CHURCH ETC.
AND FOR MANY
PEOPLE, THESE
DIRECTION OR WAY
HAVE NOTHING TO
DO WITH ONE
ANOTHER.
DEVOTION
JESUS DOESN’T
WANT TO A
SPOKE, HE WANTS
TO BE THE HUB OF
THE WHEEL, THAT
IS THE CENTER,
WHERE ALL THE
SPOKE GROW
FROM AND
CONNECT TO ONE
ANOTHERE.
DEVOTION
CHRISTIANITY
SHOULDN’T BE
A
COMPARTMEN
T OF OUR LIFE,
IT SHOULD BE
OUR WHOLE
LIFE!
DEVOTION
We need to
trade some
of the things
we surrender
to in this
world for the
Lord.
DEVOTION
BUT THE
PROBLEM IS
THAT WE’RE
TOO BUSY: WE
HAVE
DIFFERENT
MENU:
DEVOTION
WE ONLY HAVE
ONE LIFE TO LIVE
ON EARTH, AND
JAMES COMPARE
IT TO A VAPOR
THAT APPEARS
FOR A LITTLE
TIME AND
VANISHES AWAY.

AMATUER CHRISTIAN PROFESSIONAL CHRISTIAN
 DEVOTION
IN MARRIED LIFE
DEVOTION
THE CHRISTIAN THAT ONLY
COMES TO CHURCH ON
SUNDAY WILL SLIDE
BACKWARDS IN THEIR
SPIRITUAL LIFE WEEK AFTER
WEEK AND SADLY THEY WILL
NEVER REALIZE IT, THE DENIAL
CHRISTIANS, DOESN'T WANT
CORRECTIONS, REMEMBER IF
THERE'S NO CORRECTIONS
THERE WILL NEVER BE
GROWTH
DEVOTION
THERE ARE NO
PART TIME
CHRISTIANS- IT’S
EITHER YOU ARE
A CHRISTIAN OR
NONE AT ALL!

DIRECTION
We are encouraged to lay
aside anything that might
hinder our spiritual
advancement and to stay
focused on Christ. And in
our passage today Paul
says, "I press on,…
forgetting those things
which are behind and
reaching forward to those
things which are ahead.
 DIRECTION
"We need endurance to
run this race of life. We
can’t wallow in past
failures, we have to be
disciplined and repent
from our sinful ways.
We have to fix our eyes
on the eternal goal set
before us and keep
looking to Jesus.
 DIRECTION
Luke 9:62,
“No one, having
put his hand to
the plow, and
looking back, is
fit for the
kingdom of God.”
 DIRECTION

NO LOOKING BACK AT PAST

SIN…YOURS OR ANYONE
ELSE’S.
 DIRECTION
God forgives and forgets, so
should we! It’s Satan who reminds
you of those past sins, not God. It
doesn't matter how messy your
past may be, when you’re born
again…your future is spotless!
DIRECTION
Don’t ever say that
you CAN’T forgive a
person for
something they did
to you. Just be
honest with yourself
and say that you
WON’T forgive.

When it comes to an
unforgiving, bitter heart,
understand this: holding on
to past hurts is like clinging
to a dirty diaper.
 DIRECTION
Jesus said in John
4:35,
“lift up your eyes
and look at the
fields, for they are
already ripe for
harvest”…
 DIRECTION
When we dwell on the
past, we forget about the
new ones that we’ve
gained, the things that's
already in front of us, the
blessings that we are
already experiencing, it
will all be nonsense if we
are still dwelling in the
past.
 DETERMINATION
I press toward the goal for the prize
of the upward call of God in Christ
Jesus.
 DETERMINATION
They’re "driving very fast," but they
don’t know where they’re going.

how accurate
you are if you’re
aiming at the
wrong goal. All
your effort in
this world will
be nothing.
 CHURCH
Church never allow it this
year, your 70th journey, that
you will be not hitting the
wrong target, yes aim for the
target but make sure you’re
in the right lane.
