We use imperatives…
… to tell somebody to do (or not to do) something.

+ imperatives = verb (base form) - imperatives = don´t + verb (base form)

We add “please” to be polite (good manners)


We often use BE + adjective in imperatives: “Be quiet” or “Be careful”.
We DON´T use pronouns with imperatives: “You be quiet”

alternative to an imperative.

We use “Let´s” + verb (base form) to make suggestions.
