- Is a malicious software program that has the potential to corrupt
or even delete files in the hard drive.

How do viruses work?

- The virus executes when the software is executed or run on a
computer.
- Take note that viruses will not work if the file is not executed.
- The damage of a computer virus still depends on the severity of
the kind of virus. Some can be non-damageable while some is

- A worm is a self-replicating program that is harmful to networks.

How do worms work?

- A worm uses the network to duplicate its code to the computers
on a network.

- It is different from a virus because a worm does not need to be

executed for it to infect a computer.

- A Trojan threat is hidden in software that appears to do one thing,
and yet behind the scenes it does another.

- Trojans often are disguised as useful software.
