Grandmamma

The Grandma, who is in her eighties aND is wrinkled


with a massive wide body, is the narrator’s maternal
grandmother. She is a norwegan woman living in oslo
with extense knowledge on the titular withces and their
whereabouts, despising them and their wish to kill
children.
Personality
Grandmamma is a kind and loving grandparent. Shes’s is always truthful
to her grandson, mincing no words in telling him about the danger of the
witches. Grandmamma’s treatment of the boy as an equal makes him love
her all the more. She also does not care for social rules/standards. for
example, she does not care if her grandson doesn’t bathe often, instead
asserting that a bath ‘’once a month’’ is enough for any child.
Personality
Further, she reveals her sacrificing nature when she moves to
England with the boy, despite her love of Norway, since it was his
parents’ wish that he attend English school.. When the boy is
transformed into a mouse, Grandmamma turns almost
“motionless” with grief, but she recovers and accepts his mouse
form unconditionally.

grandmother.. Grandmamma loves telling
stories and does not care for social rules.

missing a thumb on one of her hands.
Achievement
The Boy is turned into a mouse by witches at the Hotel
Magnificent. His grandmother then helps him turn the
england witches into mice, who are chased from the
hotel. The Boy remains a mouse, and he and
Grandmamma plan to turn all the witches from the
whole world into mice so cats can kill them.
