HOTELS
COMMERCIAL
HOTEL
• a hotel that operates as a Commercial Activity, as defined in Section
17.10.260, which provides lodging to guests that is not used or is not
intended to be used as a primary residence.

EXAMPLE: HENANN CRYSTAL SANDS RESORT


AIRPORT HOTEL
• hotels that provide lodging and are positioned outside of the
terminals but on airport land. Companies may even be a few
kilometers away from the airport yet provide airport shuttle
buses. There are various airport hotels in every place that has a
respectable airport.

• EXAMPLE:Waterfront Airport Hotel & Casino Mactan


SUITE HOTEL
• a hotel with a suite for every guest. Staying at an all-suite hotel
guarantees you a spacious room with a living area, kitchenette, and
other desirable amenities.

• EXAMPLE: Henann Palm Beach Resort


RESIDENTIAL HOTEL
• The residential hotel is basically an apartment building offering maid
service, a dining room, and room meal service. Residential hotels
range from the luxurious to the moderately priced.

• EXAMPLE: Valero Grand Suites by Swiss-Belhotel Makati


RESORT HOTEL
• an entire service lodging facility that typically includes recreational
activities and entertainment. This so-called “resort hotel” is usually
located in places frequently visited for recreation and relaxation, such
as seashores, beaches, historic and scenic areas, spas, ski parks, etc.
• EXAMPLE: Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu
BED AND BREAKFAST HOTEL
• a system of accommodation in a hotel or guest house, in which you
pay for a room for the night and for breakfast the following morning.
The abbreviation B&B is also used.
• EXAMPLE: Casafuerte Bed and Breakfast
CASINO HOTEL
• an establishment consisting of a casino with temporary lodging
provided in an on-premises hotel. Customers receive the benefits of
both gambling facilities and lodging. Since the casino and hotel are
located on the same premises, a gambler's necessities can be
provided for in one location.

CONVENTION CENTER
• a large building that is designed to hold a convention, where
individuals and groups gather to promote and share common
interests. Convention centers typically offer sufficient floor area to
accommodate several thousand attendees.
• EXAMPLE: SMX Convention Center
ALTERNATIVE LODGING PROPERTIES
• When talking about alternative lodging we mean anything that's not
hotels. This includes vacation rentals, guest houses, homes and
apartments, villas – basically, everything else that doesn't fit under
the umbrella of traditional, organized, short-term lodging.
