The committees primary tasked is to


prepare all documents and to conduct
Mediation & Conciliation conference of the
Disputes among members of Iloilo
Provincial Employees Multi-Purpose
Cooperative ( IPEMPC).
WHAT IS MEDIATION?

 Webster define Mediation as a friendly intervention in the


disputes of others, with their consent, for the purpose of
adjusting differences.

 is a process where a trained neutral third party


facilitates the negotiation between parties and using
learned techniques, in order to help them reach a
voluntary, mutually satisfying agreement.
WHO ARE THE PARTICIPANTS?

 Present during mediation process are the following:

 1. The parties involved


 2. The Mediator
 3. Their lawyers ( if desired by the parties ) to advise their clients between
session and before final agreement is signed.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MEDIATION?

 Mediation has the following advantages:


 1. It is time saving
 2. It is private and confidential
 3. It restores relationships
 4. It makes parties feel competent and effective
 5. It does not close door to other options, if the parties
are not satisfied.
WHO IS THE MEDIATOR?
 The Mediator is a neutral / third person who does not favor any person or
position in the discussion of their difference.
 WHAT IS A GOOD MEDIATOR?
 A good mediator is one who has acquired the following skills and qualities:
 1. Listening
 2. Tolerant and non-judgemental
 3. Open minded
 4. Calm and positive
 5. Draws best out of people
 6. Impartial
 7. Organized

 PDIOS is the acronym:
 1. P – PROBLEM
 2. D – DEMAND
 3. I – INTEREST
 4. O – OPTIONS
 5. S - SOLUTION
