Share capital is a percentage of a company's equity earned by exchanging stock to a shareholder for cash.
It refers to the total nominal value of all shares issued (that is, the sum of their par values, as printed on the
share certificates).
When a company is first created, if its only asset is the cash invested by the shareholders, the balance sheet is
balanced with cash on the left and share capital on the right side.
Authorized share capital is the maximum amount a company has been approved to raise in a public offering.
The amount of share capital reported by a company includes only payments for purchases made directly
from the company. The later sales and purchases of those shares and the rise or fall of their prices on the
open market have no effect on the company's share capital.
A company may opt to have more than one public offering after its initial public offering (IPO). The
proceeds of those later sales would increase the share capital on its balance sheet.
Amount Raised: 176.74 Share Capital as of March 2021
