MARK SCHEME:
In the name of Allah, most Gracious,
most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the
Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds;
Most gracious, most merciful; Master
of the day of judgment. You we
worship, and your aid we seek. Show
us the straight way, The way of those to
whom You have given your grace, not
those who earn your anger, nor those
who go astray.
[A]

The word Rabb signifies……

that Allah is not only the Creator but also


the Sustainer, Provider of all the worlds
known or unknown to men.

Same concept that Allah is the Rabb (lord)


has been discussed in surah Alaq.
Allah
(A)

It teaches that Allah is Most Compassionate,


Most Loving and Most Gracious towards his
people.

 But at the same time He is the Master of the


day of Judgment….signifies that

 He is Just and has full Authority to punish,


reward or to forgive anyone.

He alone is worthy of being
worshipped & a source of Guidance
and forgiveness.

Thus believer is required to turn


towards Allah for asking help,
forgiveness & Sirat-e-Mustaqeem i.e,
the right path.
(A)

Right Path refers to the path followed


by the virtuous people, who earned
His reward &
to protect us from the path of those
who either denied the truth like the
unbelievers or those who went astray
like Christians or the Jews.

This surah strengthens our belief in


Unity and Oneness of Allah and the
Day of Judgment.

 we must praise Allah for the


creation & sustenance of all the
worlds, known or unknown to
mankind.
(b)

We should not commit shirk.

We should turn towards Allah for


repentance if we commit any sin, with the
trust that He will forgive us.

We should seek guidance from Allah as He


is the only source of guidance and help & He
gives guidance to those who ask for it.

A Muslim should be responsible for


his deeds as he is accountable for
them.
Submitting to Allah brings humility to
our lives.
This surah is recited as a part of daily
prayers. Holy prophet said: “No
prayer is accepted without Fatiha.”

CONSTANTLY RECITE THIS DUA
