About NDT Training Course Management
 BAEC has taken up a training and certification program
with the formation of two national committees named
“NDT Personnel Certification Committee (NDTPCC)”
and “NDT Academic Committee (NDTAC)” since 1986
through an office memorandum No. E-II/BAEC-
10/84/454 dated 8.7.85 of the Energy Division, Ministry
of Science & Technology (the then controlling Ministry
of BAEC) and again reconstituted the above two
committees in 1993 under another office memorandum
No. wecÖg/kv-6/ckK-4/93/5254 dated 29.12.93 of the
Ministry of Science and Technology (the then controlling
Ministry of BAEC).
About NDT Training Course Management (Contd.)

 In order to adopt the international standard ISO

9712:2005 – “Non-destructive testing - Qualification and
certification of personnel” the above two committees
have been dissolved and to administer the NDT
certification scheme in the country the newly constituted
NDTPCC has been approved by the office memorandum
No. weZ‡hvcÖg/kv-6/ckK-12/90 (LÛ-4)/510, dated
03.03. 2009 of the Ministry of Science and Technology
(the controlling Ministry of BAEC) and followed by an
official circular no. evckK/ms¯’vcb-1-5(10)/85-msKjb-
2/1400, dated 08.04.2009 of BAEC.
About NDT Training Course Management (Contd.)

The NDT training courses have been operated by properly

maintaining the following office orders issued by BAEC time to
time.
 Office Order No. 45/90 dated 26.02.1990
 Office Order No. 70/95 dated 29.03.1995

About NDT Training Course Management (Contd.)
 The operational cost (Course manual & accessories, Board of
examiner honorarium, Entertainment) of training courses is
being maintained by following the Office Order No. 70/95
dated 29.03.1995 & 40/2006 dated 16.02.2006 through bank
account no. STD-82, Atomic Energy Centre, Dhaka.
 With reference to the office order no. 70/95, the remaining
money after the operational cost of the training courses are to
be divided into following ways:
 20% overhead charge to be deposited to service charge account of
BAEC
 50% of the rest of the money will be used to conduct future NDT
course related activities
 The rest 50% will be distributed as honorarium among the personnel
directly involved in training conducting activities.
