TCS is an Indian IT services, business solutions and outsourcing company headquartered in Mumbai, India. Started by Jamshedji Tata in 1968 Present chairman and Vice chairman of the company is Ratan Tata and S Ramadorai It is the second largest provider of business process outsourcing services in India. TCS has offices in over 42 countries with more than 142 branches across the globe It is a subsidiary of India's Largest Industrial conglomerate Tata Group.

Recognizing the skills is an essential part of every job search. It is equally important to communicate effectively to the potential employer. Three major categories of skills are Technical/ Work-specific skills, Functional/transferable skills, Self-management skills. There are various sub categories in the skills such as Numerical skills, Anaytical skills, Verbal skills, Logical reasoning, etc. Skills should be identified through various assessments so that the organisation can improve their heights of employees.

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY


PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To analyse the standard of TCS associates through comparison of TCS Recruitment test and NASSCOMs National Assessment Competency test. SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: To identify the key areas where the employee have more expertise. To analyse the relationship between the skills and performance of the associates. To know the parameters where the key areas can be improved.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY


Exploring the potential skills of the associates the organization can positively achieve their objectives and meet up their standard. In this competitive industry, it is very easy to get low skillset people. They can make use of this criterion to attain heuristic scope to achieve their targets. They can also contribute quality personnel to the society and satisfy their clients to build up their strength.

RESEARCH METHODS AND SIZE OF THE STUDY


CORELATIONAL RESEARCH: A correlational study determines whether or not two variables are correlated. It helps to study whether an increase or decrease in one variable corresponds to an increase or decrease in the other variable. Here the relationship between the TCS test score and NASSCOMs NAC score is being determined with the inclusion of performance attribute. POPULATION SIZE: Population used for the analysis is 43.

Percentage analysis: The percentage analysis is made to determine the percentage of respondents fall under each category, this helps to standardize the respondents on various aspects. Pearsons Correlation: The analysis measures the relationship between two variables. The two variables reflect the degree to which the variables are related.
