INTRODUCTION
 EXPORT When goods go out of the one country to another country or services rendered outside the country, then it is called Export.  India has a mission to capture 2% of the global share of trade by 2010 up from the present level of less than 1%.  Govt. current foreign trade policies offer a more investor friendly economic environment & are geared towards more investment in promoting Import & Export Trade.

 Income from export business is also exempted to the specified extent under Income Tax 1961.

TYPES OF EXPORT
TYPES OF EXPORT PHYSICAL DEEMED

PHYSICAL EXPORT : If the products physically go out of the


country or services are rendered outside the country , then it is called physical export .

DEEMED EXPORT : When the goods directly do not go out


of the country ,it is called deemed export .

HOW TO SET UP AN EXPORT ORGANISATION


Choosing appropriate mode of operation. Naming the business organisation. Structure of an organisation. Obtaining the IEC No. (Importer Exporter Code) Obtaining the RCMC (Registration Cum Membership Certificate)  Obtaining the Identity Card.  Registration with Sales tax authorities.     

INCOTERMS(Terms of Shipment)
 International agreed interpretation of trade terms.  Terms to define the responsibilities of parties to an international contract of sales.  First published by International Chamber of commerce in 1936.  Most recent amendment in 2000.  These are 13 terms divided in 4 categories- E,F,C categories& D.

 E Term is buyer most responsibility.  D Terms are seller most responsibilities.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
 Cash in Advance
 You receive the money in advance.  You then forward goods to customer

 Open Account
 You forward goods to customer.  He pays on receipt of goods 30/60/90/180Days

 Bills of Exchange
 A you owe me Note  Sent to customers bank with export documentation through banking system  Customer pays or accept the Bill of Exchange, then gets the goods

 Letter of Credit
 Customer opens L/C through his bank & sends its original copy to seller through banking system  Provides security of payment to seller

CONCLUSION
 Export Documentation is the engine of export in global trade. Documentation facilitates the movement of goods, transfer of payment ,custom clearance.  With correct documentation not only customers are satisfied but the possibility of conflict also minimised.
